Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 Per annum

Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter based in Exeter, Devon, you will be responsible for assessing and analysing insurance applications to determine the level of risk and appropriate premiums. Your role will involve evaluating insurance proposals, conducting risk assessments, and making informed decisions on whether to accept or reject applications.

Job Duties:

• Analyse insurance applications and assess risk levels
• Evaluate potential risks and decide on appropriate premiums
• Review and underwrite insurance policies
• Calculate insurance premiums based on risk analysis
• Collaborate with insurance brokers and agents
• Maintain accurate underwriting documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent decision-making abilities
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• Previous experience in insurance underwriting
• Knowledge of insurance regulations and policies
• Proficiency in risk assessment and analysis
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in insurance underwriting
• Experience working in the insurance industry
• Advanced analytical skills
