Finance Manager

Job Description

Ourclient near Exeter is seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of the company's financial operations. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of finance, from day-to-day accounting tasks to strategic financial planning. As we transition this role from an outsourced function to an in-house position, the Finance Manager will have the opportunity to shape and optimize our financial processes to support our growth and sustainability goals.

Rsponsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations including data entry, invoicing, credit control, client billing, and bank reconciliation across multiple accounts.
• Serve as the main point of contact for external accountants, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Prepare management reports and accounts to support business decision-making and financial performance analysis.
• Oversee payroll processing and auto-enrolment pension administration.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organization, providing financial insights and support as needed in a small team environment.

Requires Skills/Experience

• Proven experience in a similar finance role, preferably within a growing business environment.
• AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
• Working knowledge of Sage and Xero software for financial management.
• Experience in the renewables industry is desirable.
• Familiarity with HubSpot CRM would be advantageous.

The salary for this role ranges from £38,000 to £45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. This is a full-time office-based position, offering the opportunity to contribute to the mission of achieving carbon neutrality through innovative energy solutions.
