Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Counsellor to work for one of the largest Health & Wellbeing organisations globally.

The counsellors support a highly reputable Employee Assistance Programme and the position will be based from the client site in Oxford and from your home.

The shifts available are:

Thursday 0900 to 17.15

Friday 09.30 to 17.45

Saturday 14.45 to 23.00

The role includes:

Assessment and triage
Short-term problem resolution and referrals
Acting at the first point of contact for clients needing assessment following the intake process.
Managing the intake process to support intake teams when needed.
Dealing with the critical incident process
Brief Solution Focussed Therapy training in place or provided
DAP Notes/succinct clinical note taking

In order to carry out this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in counselling or Psychology or related field with a minimum 2 years post degree experience in counselling and be BACP or UKCP accredited.

The successful Counsellor will have:

A high level of work experience within their own function

The ability to complete work without review by others

The experience to supervise and give guidance for high level/risk cases

The ability to assess/triage clients

Work with the management and supervisory personnel to solve complex issues and problems

Excellent organisational ability and able to prioritise and organise work load in order to meet agreed deadlines

The role offers training from the Oxford site for the first 6 weeks. Once the training is completed then the shift work will kick in. It is normal to take between 9 and 12 calls a day that can last for some time

The role offers £18.00 per hour. Nights you will be paid £2.00 per hour and, upon receipt of a call £18.00 per hour and, after half an hour, a further £18.00.
