Job Description

Role: Multi-skilled Property Maintenance Technician
Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 depending on experience + Company Van + bonus
Contract: Permanent

Our Client is a well-known building Company who are seeking an experience maintenance technician to carry out remedial works across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and M25 N.Circular. You will also be required to travel to other sites across the UK during peak season. You will be responsible for all work carried out from faulty workmanship to replacing faulty materials to ensure a satisfied customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive works instructions and ensure to call the Customer 24 hours prior to confirm the appointment and to ensure they will be available
  • To ensure that all replacement materials are available on the van in advance of attending the appointment to save time and hassle
  • If delayed for an appointment, ensure to call the Customer to inform and advise them of the updated time/situation
  • Ensure protection of property is carried out to the highest detail before conducting remedial work and to ensure you leave areas clean and tidy upon completion
  • You will be required to complete painting, wall tiling, pave slab adjustments, plaster repair, kitchen unit adjustments and Carpentry work such as easing doors and creaking floors
  • Ensure to provide the Customer Service Manager with regular progress reports and let them know of any issues arising from works undertaken
  • Ensure trade tools are looked after and maintained, let the Customer Service Manager know of any breakages or losses.
  • Complete Health & Safety inspection forms weekly and ensure they're submitted to the Customer Service Manager
  • Obtain customer signatory if they are available and satisfied with the completed work

Skills Required:

  • The ability to take ownership of every task assigned
  • An honest approach with high skill levels to ensure a successful finish of works carried out
  • Experience of Property maintenance within painting, tiling and carpentry is essential
  • Excellent Customer Service skills as dealing with customers on the phone and face to face
  • Multi-trade skilled
